Count Us In
A joyful visibility photocall for women, femme, non-binary, queer, trans + othered comics at Edinburgh Fringe.
Why we're doing this
Fringe is loud.
The posters are loud.
The PR machines are louder. And too often, women, femme, non-binary, queer, trans + othered comics get lost in the noise. So we’re making ourselves impossible to miss.COUNT US IN is a joyful visibility moment for the comics who don’t always get the biggest poster, room, budget or hype machine. We’re done being overlooked.
It’s time we were seen.

What it is
A short, joyful street photocall spotlighting underrepresented women, femme/them + othered comics at Fringe.Think:
Flyers — bring your own show flyer so audiences and press can find you.
Zine-style placards — we’ll provide bold signs for the group shot.
Big group chat energy — joyful, visible, slightly feral, but organised.
Hired photographer — we’ll capture press-ready images and social content.
Press invites — we’re inviting media to cover the visibility moment.

What it isn't
Not a protest
Not a march
Not street performing
Not a mass gathering
Just a quick, high-impact photo moment designed to make women, femme/them, queer, trans and othered comics visible.

The Big Idea
There isn’t a clear public count of how many women, femme, queer, trans + non-binary comics are performing at Fringe. So we’re creating one ourselves — visually. Each comic brings their own flyer.
We bring the placards, QR boards, photographer + press push.Together, we create one loud, joyful image of The New Grrrl Order taking up space. If they don’t count us, we'll count ourselves in.
